There are millions of blogs but there are also millions of people who would like to know what a blog is and how to make blog.

Firstly, what is a blog?

Simple answer: It is a type of website.

On your blog you can add your own personal thoughts, views, news, photos, videos, “how to’s” and everyone can see them.

But it doesn’t have to stop there.

If you want to make some income, you can advertise, you can sell your own things and other peoples products for a commission.

Let me give you another example:

Imagine reading your favourite magazine full of articles, jokes, puzzles, pictures, adverts, letters plus lots more.

A blog is just like that but no-line, on the internet.

Now with a blog you can have your own version of your magazine and call it whatever you wish. And everyone from across the world can read it, and comment on it…all for free.

Now your version of YOUR magazine (i.e. your blog) can be on any subject you wish from your personal travel experiences…to your career…to football…to buying and selling iphones…to training your dog or a place just to show off your personal photos.

Your blog can be about absolutely anything - it’s your choice.

Like magazines differ from one another…so do blogs. Again there are no rules and you decide on the content.

So how about starting your own blog?

“Don’t be an idiot, Andrew, I am totally techno-phobic.” I hear some of you say.

You wouldn’t know where to start? You don’t know how?

WordPress is free software that simply and easily allows you to make a blog and millions of people use it and rave about it.

If I said to you, you could make a blog in under 45 minutes with WordPress, not matter how technical you are, would you believe me?

I think you can. WordPress is easy, simple and efficient. You will not believe how easy it is.

Plus WordPress has an amazing list of features.

It is Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) Friendly and that is crucial when building a website or blog, and Google loves WordPress.

As I said above, millions of people use WordPress to make their blogs and there is a huge user community who develop and support the software. So any problems, do a quick search and you’ll find the answer.

If you want a basic SEO friendly website (and WordPress will give you one)…you don’t need to code. Period. Changing your blog is easy with WordPress.
